Capabilities
Autonomy Verification & Validation
- Test-strategy authoring for autonomous flight functions, structured against the customer's airworthiness basis (F3269, ASTM F38, or program-specific tailoring).
- Detect-and-avoid (DAA) verification including encounter-set construction, simulation-of-record selection, and live-flight test-card design.
- Contingency-management verification: lost-link behavior, lost-GPS, lost-comm, geofence violation, and the failure modes the regulator will ask about that the program team didn't plan to demonstrate.
- Mission-execution autonomy review: route deviation handling, waypoint replanning, dynamic re-tasking on degraded sensor inputs.
- Software assurance for the autonomy stack: requirements traceability, structural coverage at the level the airworthiness authority will accept, and the requirements-based test discipline that survives an audit.
- Run-time-assurance architecture review for systems where formal verification of the autonomy logic is impractical and a monitor-and-revert approach is appropriate.
UAS Systems Engineering
- Mission-systems integration for Group 2 through Group 5 unmanned platforms. Payload-bus interface design (Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 818 for sensor video).
- Autopilot and flight-control integration including loop tuning, sensor fusion review, and bench-to-flight readiness.
- Ground-control-station coordination including STANAG 4586 interface design and operator-display review.
- ICD authoring and configuration management across the airborne, datalink, and ground segments.
- Datalink trade analysis: line-of-sight, beyond-line-of-sight via SATCOM, and mesh options for swarm experimentation.
- Concept-of-operations support including mission-planning workflow review.
Flight-Test Data Engineering
- IRIG-B and PTPv2 time alignment across distributed onboard and ground-side acquisition.
- Automated post-flight reduction pipelines from raw counts through engineering units with documented lineage.
- Data-quality tooling: gap detection, dropout characterization, and channel-by-channel validity reporting.
- Flight-test analytics for autonomy: encounter classification, decision-point logging, intervention-rate trending across program phases.
- Telemetry-stream design for live monitoring at the test conductor's console, including stream-budget analysis and decode-chain implementation.
- Range-system integration including time-space-position-information (TSPI) ingest from customer-furnished tracking sources.
What we do not do
- We do not own or operate aircraft. Flight test is performed by the operator's appropriately rated crew and remote pilots.
- We do not develop autonomy stacks at the algorithm level. We verify and integrate stacks our customers (or their algorithm partners) build.
- We do not staff conventional manned-aircraft certification programs as a primary book of business. We coordinate with certification firms when programs cross over.
- We do not subcontract data-engineering work offshore. The pipelines we build live on customer infrastructure or on our domestic compute.
